                                          1. What are the IT’s and NIT’s?

1.1 IT’s

Technologies of information and communication (IT) are all the tools and programs that treat, manage, transmit and share information through technological support.

New technologies of information (NIT’s) are referring to new media that in the last years have facilitated the flow of information.

1.3 Advantages and disadvantages


Advantages
·         Eliminates the geographic barriers, and any person can access to information they need from anywhere.
·         Investigations found a rapid diffusion and enriched with new ideas, because it is possible the collaboration between investigators separated by thousands kilometers.
·         Using distance learning systems there is the possibility of obtain a university degree through the Internet and get the title of graduate ESO or access to vocational training, facilitating access to education and culture.
Disadvantages
  •  We must have a means of to handle this information and this may produce a social disequilibrium between rich and poor sorting.
  •  Being able to get almost everything you want without leaving home means that the individual will communicate with the computer and less in person, which will lead to the deterioration of human relationships and the loss of social values.

  •  The computerization of almost every aspect of daily life makes us depend on the machines. This makes agencies such as ministries become paralyzed when "a computer breaks down" or "the network is down."
  • One of the biggest risks is that we spend so much time on these technologies and that prevents access to other manifestations of culture and human relations.

1.4 Evolution

Some refer as 3rd Industrial Revolution. Several key inventions that can be considered for this tremendous development:
• The first computers, which appeared in the mid-twentieth century.
• The appearance of the optical fiber.
• The discovery of integrated circuits, called chips.
• The TCP / IP for data transfer, and, years later, resulted in the emergence of the Internet.
• Later came the microchips.
• Communications satellites.
• Wireless technology.

2. The NIT's in society and in professional applications.

2.1 The impact of NIT’s in the economy.

By increasing productivity due to the use of I's is generating more jobs.

2.3 New distribution channels and new market dynamics

The product distribution channels grow through online shopping (Mercado Libre, MasOportunidades, eBay, deRemante) the new way to buy and sell benefited many.



                      







3. Communication tools offered by NIT's

WEB 2.O:
         Web 2.0 is the name assigned to the set of tools that are available on the web today. These tools are characterized by the potential users have to double-check : to be protagonists of the information circulating on the web .
 COMMUNICATION TOOLS :
         Several types of communication tools such as: Internet , discussion groups ( forums ) chat room (chat room) or " Weblogs " or "Blogs" . However we focus mainly on one of the most useful and therefore more used : email.
EMAIL:
        The email, also called e- mail is a message , letter or information that is sent from one computer to another . Currently may be different emails such as: Gmail , Yahoo , Hotmail ..
Properties and characteristics
• It is fast and economical. Shipping to anywhere in the world takes a few seconds to be received .
• Allows you to work directly with the received information using, for example, a word processor.
• You can send or receive a lot of information , and you can send files containing books , journals , data.
•You can send media as images and sounds.
• Send messages to groups of people using mailing lists .
• Don’t waste paper.

3.2 Communication as a way to generate knowledge

Digital communication is an innovative way of perceiving and shows the world, offering at the same time the ability to interact with it and interconnected with others immediately. Because of the advantages of the Internet, this went from being a communication tool, to be also other form of marketing and knowledge.

4. Responsible use of the tools that NIT's put at our disposal


  • Do not publish true information or comments on the net.
  • Cyberbullying: Cyberbullying is for abuse.
  • Data protection and equipment.
Respect for intellectual property.
The copyright for protecting the rights of authors in their work, this in Spain is known as intellectual property.
